While working in the Valley, Maeda became a fan of startup companies and began his #DesignInTech Report to help others with perceptivity of combining tech, design, business, and properly investing. He is currently looking to advanced everyone’s perception of design and inclusion in the tech industry since he originally began as an engineer himself. He then transferred to art & design to research & operating before finally settling into business/tech/investing. You can still visit his ORIGINAL website here.

EJohn Maeda is bringing together people’s love of art and technology together to create the perfect balance for the upcoming centuries. Think about it. Have you ever watched America’s Got Talent? Hennessy VSOP Privilege Bottle #8 is a superior cognac presented in a goldish-copper bottle featuring vividly colored equalizer-styled against a black matte background. Normally, there are two different bottles being released. One bottle is completely colored with a custom designed label white the other is a gift set containing two branded glasses and a clear bottle with the yearly designed label. For the 2017 distribution, you’ll receive the copper-toned bottle along with two branded (etched) Hennessy glasses in a sleek designer box.

Hennessy was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy in Cognac, France. Throughout the years, he thrived by exporting brandies back to his native Ireland and England. Twenty years later, Richard hired Jean Fillioux as the first Master Blender.  Since then, the families have been extremely close. 8 generations of these families have continued to run and oversee the aging and blending of Hennessy products. Today, Yann Fillioux holds the reigns as the Master Blender and also crafted Hennessy Paradis – a cognac of 100 eaux-de-vie. Hennessy became a prestige company when the Prince of Wales (who was a cognac connoisseur) and the feature King George IV of Great Britain ordered “very superior old pale” from the house. V.S.O.P has since become a benchmark for the cognac community. It wasn’t until 1856 that the brand received its permanent symbol: the coat-of-arms. The Bras Armé is an arm and axe that pay homage to the founder’s military service. His service earned him French citizenship and land in Cognac.

In 1859, Hennessy made its first delivery. The cognac first made its Far East debut in China and quickly became a foreign ambassador for French Culture. Even to this day, the Henny is still an icon in Chinese culture and used to celebrate during family celebrations and at high-end restaurants. The most popular cognac in the world was established in 1865 as Hennessy V.S. Maurice Hennessy, Richard’s great-grandson, created a star classification system to distinguish cognac’s qualities. The brand finally reaches the United States in 1972 and quickly gained popularity. In 2011, Yann Fillioux created the Paradis Impérial after he was inspired by a legend of a rare blend of 1818 Cognac. This blend was reportedly created for Czar Alexander I of Russia. Yann and designer Stéphanie Balini created the faceted shape for the ornate crystal decanter.
