Alfred Gratien Brut Champagne
Alfred Gratien Brut Champagne has a light-gold color with a fine sparkling. This sparkle has an extremely long lasting mousse that opens into notes of citrus fruits, mangos, peaches, and apricots on the nose. A wonderful balance of aromatic strength and the freshness of exotic fruits sits on the palate. Overall, this champagne is a refined blend in which the elegance of the Chardonnay melds with the fruitiness of the Pinot Meunier and the enduring flavour of the Pinot Noir. That is the art of champagne production! This great classic clearly shows the style of Alfred Gratien. It’s a refined blend dominated by fruity Pinot Meunier combined with the elegance of Chardonnay.

Wine Enthusiast 90 points – As with all this producer’s wines, the first fermentation iof this bottling was in wood, adding richness and smoothing out the fruit to give a warm, round character. The acidity is still tight and crisp, with citrus and apple flavors shot through with minerality. Drink now..Roger Voss, December/2016
