Bottega Rose Gold Prosecco
Bottega was established in 1977 by Aldo Bottega. He was a master distiller for over 30 years and inherited the passion for wines from his grandfather. It was not until 1983 when Aldo passed and left the company to his children – Sandreo, Barbara, and Stefano – that the company would start to gain a reputation thanks to an innovative distillation method. This method resulted in a smoother, more delicate grappa. In the early 1990’s the production of Il Vino dei Poeti, a Prosecco sparkling wine, took the company into the wine market. During the autumn of 2001, Bottega Rose Gold Prosecco was launched as a limited edition item and later introduced in the Duty Free shops of many large airports around the world.
This wonderful Pinot Nero Spumante Brut is 100% Pinot Noir Prosecco and comes from the Lombardy region in Italy. The cool climate and hilly terrain make an ideal area for the hand-picked grapes to be gown. Bottega Rose Gold has a brilliant salmon pink color with a fine and lasting perlage. Distinct aromas of flowers with mixed berries, currants, and wild strawberries along with fresh peaches fill your nose and follow with strong flavors of strawberries, peaches, and florals. The acidity is fresh, delicate, and persistent; it works harmoniously with the strong flavors. Rose Prosecco excels as an aperitif – as well as with fish and chicken entrees. It also pairs tastefully with fruit desserts.
Bottega Rose Gold Prosecco
Rose Gold Prosecco starts off with their hand-picked grapes and vinified at a controlled temperature. The skin must stay in contact for 24 hours. The flesh and skins are separated by soft pressing and followed by the fermentation at 18 degrees Celsius. The year following the harvest is when the sparkling process begins. A second fermentation in steel containers begins according to the Italian Charmat method and can last as long as 90 days.
