Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey
Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey is triple distilled and twice charred. Charring is an age-old method for invigorating barrels to intensify the taste. Jameson Black Barrel is our tribute to our coopers, who painstakingly give their bourbon barrels an additional charring to reveal their untold richness and complexity. Because every barrel contains secrets; the trick is coaxing them out. Note: Time spent maturing in these barrels leads to intensified aromas of butterscotch, fudge, and creamy toffee. Taste: Nutty notes are in abundance alongside the smooth sweetness of spice and vanilla. Finish: Enjoy the richness and intensity of toasted wood and vanilla.

From the Jameson Website: Sine Metu. It means “without fear”. It hangs proudly on our crest. It’s a code John Jameson lived by, a code he embodied. When he stepped off that ship in Dublin to start his distillery, he did so with bravery. With a clear vision and a tireless passion. A passion for his Irish whiskey, each step of the process from grain to glass. Today that same spirit lives on in our Jameson family; our cooper, our distiller, our blender, and the many dedicated individuals at our Distillery. But it also lives on in the communities of fearless individuals here in the U.S., who embody the code of Sine Metu by pursuing their passions every day. Sine Metu. It’s from our family. It’s on our bottle. It’s in our hearts. It’s in every glass.
Jameson Irish Whiskey
There’s a lot of craft and care that goes into every bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Coopers, blenders, distillers, just to name a few. And it’s funny how when you make something with craft and care, you cross paths with other passionate people. John Jameson established the way of making whiskey in 1780 and it’s been proudly sticking to it ever since. It might not be the easiest way, but insisting on the finest ingredients, triple distillation, and aging our whiskey in seasoned oak barrels has been the secret behind our signature smoothness. Jameson collaborated with Beavertown, a micro-brewery based out of Hackney, East London, to produce an imperial stout aged in Jameson casks. The stout is named Geronimo in honor of Ger Buckley, fifth generation Master Cooper at the Jameson Distillery, whom Beavertown founder Logan Plant met when he traveled to Midleton, Co. Cork to select the barrels.
