Cannonball Sauvignon Blanc Wine
Cannonball Sauvignon Blanc – Recall the days when you were a kid and carefree? Cannonball wines are here to celebrate and bring back that fun, carefree feeling. As the bottle cap says, “Dive In”! The image on the bottle is reminiscent of days spent by the pool or lake, getting everyone around wet with your best cannonball attempt!
The Cannonball Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2015 has refreshing tropical fruit, Granny Smith apple, peach and citrus on both the palate and nose. Mouthwatering lemon custard pie and vanilla bean flavors contribute to the balanced, medium-bodied palate. Pair Cannonball Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2015 with asparagus, goat cheese and tangy dishes like Greek foods with tahini sauce. It also pairs well with herbal sauces like pesto, chimichurri and earthy mushroom risotto. As far as desserts, Sauvignon Blanc complements flakey pasties like a cheese danish or creamy lemon meringue pie. It can be used to create a Grapefruit Paloma cocktail. Stir ingredients together in a shaker with ice: the juice of 1/2 a grapefruit, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 oz. lime juice and 3 oz. Cannonball Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2015. Strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with Himalayan sea salt.
Although Cannonball wines encourages a happy-go-lucky approach to savoring their wines, they’re very serious and devoted to creating great, memorable “WOW” wines. The wines have been such a hit that Cannonball had the honor of being the exclusive wine at the opening celebration for the sold out 2016 TED Talks Women’s Conference. The winery was also featured at the 2016 three-day Golden Gate Park festival with renowned musical acts: Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem and Lionel Richie.
Cannonball Wines offer a 2014 Merlot, a 2014 Chardonnay, a Cabernet Sauvignon and two Angels and Cowboys wines. Angels and Cowboys is a collaboration between Northern California graphic artist, Michael Schwab, and Cannonball Wine Company co-founders, Yoav Gilat and Dennis Hill. Cannonball wines maintain their continuity from vintage to vintage because the grapes are procured from Dennis Hill’s family’s small estate vineyards and vineyards owned by his Sonoma County contacts.
