Pride Season 2017

Pride Season 2017 is among us! Being so close to NYC, these events are highly publicized. From marches to parades, to star-studded performances and peaceful rallies. Not everyone may agree with some of the information in this posting and that’s okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. This posting is not a representation of our opinions, status, or beliefs. This posting is for promotional use only while promoting products/companies who are trying to make a difference in our society.

For many, Pride Season is a chance to be their complete selves with minimal scrutiny and judgement (hopefully.) It is a chance to meet and bond with others who may have been put into unfortunate situations, overcome obstacles, or dealing with similar problems one may be facing. And this is not just a NYC phenomenon. Pride Season is now celebrated INTERNATIONALLY! This is a HUGE step in our society. From New York to Australia to Thailand and the United Kingdom, pride is celebrated. June kicks off Pride Season with Orlando, Florida hosting GayDays at Disney and GayDay’s 17th Annual Orlando Expo: One of the world’s largest Gay & Lesbian Travel, Entertainment & Business Expos! These events will also help the onePULSE foundation – the only 501(c)(3) established to help support the families of those lost and effected by the tragic incident which happened in Orlando at Pulse Night Club. 49 lives were taken, 68 people were injured, and an inconspicuous amount of people were affected by this tragedy.

Many large, well-known companies support the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) family. This year, T-Mobile is the presenting sponsor of NYC’s Pride Parade, which is the largest and highest-recognized event of this kind. Other large sponsors include Milagros Tequila, Reyka Vodka, Bud Light, and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly. Of course, there are many others. Smirnoff and Absolute are showing their pride with their Limited Edition Design bottles.

Pride Season 2017

Smirnoff kicks things off with their Limited Edition Design Holographic Rainbow bottle labeled Love Wins. The vodka company has been raising funds for the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years. For 2017, they have partied up with the Human Rights Campaign. This organization is the largest in America helping to work towards equality for all those who identify as LGBTQ+. Smirnoff is prepared to donate $1 (USD) to the HRC project for every Love Wins bottle that is made – thats over $260,000! This money would go towards creating more welcoming environments across the U.S for all those who identify as part of this community. Sarah Deragon, creator of the Identity Project, is the photographer behind the camera of all ten LGBTQ+ couples featured on the 2017 Pride Smirnoff Bottle. This year, you can help to! Smirnoff is looking for any and all couples to be featured on their 2018 bottle. For every photo submitted (one per couple,) Smirnoff will also donate another dollar to the HRC. Love Wins. The contest begins in June and runs until September 30th, 2017. The exact dates are unknown. To apply yourself, click HERE.

Smirnoff with also have their own float on June 25th for NYC’s Pride March!

While Smirnoff is featuring #LoveWins, Absolut is taking pride in #LoveisLove. This limited edition release has the iconic Absolut bottle dressed in Gilbert Baker’s iconic rainbow Pride flag. The flag was originally designed in 1977 by the San Francisco-based artist. This flag is a very important symbol in the community and for the movement. It represents colorful celebrations, parties, and liberated minds, much like Absolut. The vodka company has a strong belief in the right of expressing yourself in any way possible, like the right of being able to love whomever you choose to love. A message of solidarity, love, and respect for the LGBTQ+ community is presented by the Colors release of Absolut. The company is also a pioneer as far as support for the LGBTQ+. It has been over 35 years since they started working within the community! Enjoy a colorful cocktail with Absolut Colors Vodka:
