The Champagne of the Oscars Gift Basket
Our Champagne of the Oscars Gift Basket contains Piper-Heidsieck Cuvee Brut, crackers, cheese, chocolates, and popcorn in an ice bucket. We chose these items because they compliment the bottle perfectly. The crackers and cheese are a great start to indulge in when first opening up the champange. However, after a few glasses, one will want something sweet to pair with the cuvee.
Why this gift basket name?
As you scroll through our champagne baskets, you might ask why our Piper-Heidsieck basket was named this. If you are an Oscars’ fan, you would know that Piper-Heidsieck is their offical champagne for the seventh year in a row. This champagne, in our opinion, is worthy of its apparence in the Oscars.
Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Background
The founder of Piper-Heidsieck is Florens-Louis Heidsieck, who created this company after falling in love with a woman from the champagne region. Now you might be wondering where the name Piper comes from? Therefore, the drama of its time is presented: “After Florens passed in 1828, his nephew Christian Heidsieck took the reins alongside his cousin Henri- Guillaume Piper. Things get really juicy when Christian passes away suddenly — and after an appropriate mourning period, Henri marries his cousin’s widow in 1838, at which point Piper-Heidsieck becomes the official company name.”
This was how the Piper-Heidsieck name was born. Although there has not been anymore soap opera worthy, many celebrities, such as Marilyn Monroe, love it!
