Salvano – Diano d’Alba, Gentilium, & Langhe
Salvano – Diano d’Alba, Gentilium, & Langhe are from the salvano brand
Salvano has been producing wine since 1960 with a lot of passions. The origins of the Salvano cellars date back to shortly after the mid-20th century. At that time viticulture was not the only activity of the farm and in fact they cultivated wheat, potatoes and hazelnuts. However, it is possible to establish in the 1960s the beginning of the transformation of grapes into wine suitable for sale and trade. Angelo Salvano begins the production of wines in the “Grillo” farmhouse among the vineyards of Diano d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe.
The winery started a new phase in 1991. The construction of a new winery in a rustic design, complete with exposed brick and arches, was inspired by the historic Langa farmhouses. Salvano wines kept gaining popularity, satisfying Luciana and Piero’s relentless pursuit of excellence. When Luciana and Piero’s son Massimo Sobrero joined the business as sales manager in 1998, another generation was added to the family heritage. In 2005, his brother Alessio Sobrero took over as account manager. Along with their parents, these two young men are carrying on Salvano’s history of excellence. Piero is directly in control of product quality while Luciana is in charge of public relations.
