Although many people think “pickle backs” are a recent trend, the combo actually dates back to 2006! As wordsmith/Brooklyn bartender Reggie Cunningham tells it, in the year of our Lord 2006, he was approached at the Bushwick Country Club by a gold-toothed woman who, in a “filthy redneck voice,” made the barman do a series of whiskey shots followed by brine. He fell in love and dubbed it the pickleback!

HOW IT’S MADE
The complex yet approachable flavors in the whiskey are derived from: three types of grain, triple distillation, and the blend of all three Irish whiskeys.
CASK FINISH
Triple cask-matured for depth and balance. Aged in traditional refill barrels, ex-bourbon barrels, and ex-sherry butts, it takes several years.
