Gentleman Jack Whiskey Gift Set
Master Distiller Jeff Arnett says Gentleman Jack Whiskey is exceptionally smooth and double-mellowed. He is currently the 7th Master Distiller for Jack Daniel’s. It all began in 1864 when Jasper Newton Daniel, or more commonly known as Jack, introduced the world to his signature charcoal-mellowed Tennessee Whiskey: Old No. 7. Who would have ever guessed centuries later we would have a Gentleman Jack Whiskey Gift Set?
Gentleman Jack was inspired by Jack’s Old No. 7 Whiskey. The original whiskey undergoes a second charcoal mellowing which gives it an exceptional smoothness, just like the original Gentleman himself. Balanced flavors of oak, vanilla, and caramel take over this extraordinary whiskey – making it an exceptional drink to celebrate all of life’s special occasions!
Jack left his home the same year he learned the art of making whiskey from Reverend Dan Call and the benefits of the Lincoln County Process, or charcoal mellowing. Two years later the Jack Daniel Distillery is officially established and making it the FIRST registered distillery in the United States. Jack Daniel was literally the first ever master distiller. The establishment opened right next to the whisky’s prime resource: Cave Spring Hollow. Cave Spring Hollow is Lynchburg’s most famous natural resource. It takes almost 800 gallons of water from deep below the Earth’s surface every minute. The spring maintains a 56-degree temperature and is the whiskey’s lifeline.

The whiskey won a gold medal in 1904 at the World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. This was the first of seven gold medals Old No. 7 would carry on to win. Unfortunately, Jack Daniel did not love on to see many more medals. In 1906 Jack was unable to open his safe after arriving to work early and kicks it out of frustration. He breaks his toe which was the ultimate demise of his life. Being unwed and not bearing any children, in 1907 Jack left his land and distillery to nephew Lem Motlow.
