Two delicious wines that may be offered in this gift basket are BV Coastal Maestro Collection Sauvignon Blanc Carneros 15 and BV Coastal Pinot Noir Carneros 14.

    The Coastal Wine Gift Basket

Beaulieu Vineyard Maestro Collection Sauvignon Blanc Carneros 15 is a blend of grapes from differing sub appellations (regions/climates): the cool Carneros region and warmer, yet fluctuating Rutherford region. BV Coastal Maestro Collection Sauvignon Blanc Carneros 15 has an energetic, fruity palate with green apple and lemon grass notes, along with some floral and mineral flavors. BV Maestro Collection Sauvignon Blanc Carneros 15 is a great companion to spiced dishes like Cajun shrimp, spicy basil chicken fried rice and even pesto pizza.

Beaulieu Vineyard Pinot Noir Carneros 14 is crafted using all Pinot Noir grapes from the Carneros sub appellation. The Pinot Noir grapes are picked at varying maturities over a period of three weeks, which is why BV Coastal Pinot Noir Carneros 14 has diverse flavors ranging from sweet, tart berries to soft, smooth fig and blueberry. The palate also offers hints of vanilla and oak spice from aging in French oak barrels. BV Coastal Pinot Noir Carneros 14 is wonderful paired with herb roasted chicken, salmon or even mushroom pizza.

BV Coastal is short for Beaulieu Vineyards, which is located in the beautiful Napa Valley and has been around for over 100 years. The vineyard’s naming is fitting as one of the founders joyfully exclaimed “”beau lieu!” aka “beautiful place” upon viewing the breathtaking views of Napa Valley. The founders were dedicated to innovation and European standards so they hired the experienced, French enologist, André Tchelistcheff, in 1938. Tchelistcheff’s highly trained palate and scientific knowledge would benefit the Beaulieu winery and vineyard immensely and still does to this day.
